How to delete your account and your data

You can delete your account and all your data whenever you want. You do not need to explain why, and we will not put obstacles in your way to keep you.
Option 1: from the application
- Open GAIO and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Press Delete account.
- Confirm your identity with your password or your two-step verification code. This step exists so nobody can delete your account if you leave your session open.
What happens next
The account is marked for deletion and enters a 14-day grace period. During that time you can sign in again and cancel the deletion: everything stays in place. After 14 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Deleted: your profile, your linked accounts, your library and playtime, your devices, your hardware and play-session data, your network measurements, your messages and your friendships.
We retain only what the law requires us to keep — for example, accounting records if a payment ever took place — and technical security logs, which are stored detached from your identity and rotated.
Option 2: if you no longer have the application installed
Write to soporte@gaio.gg from the email address you registered with, requesting deletion of your account. We verify the request comes from you and process it within 30 days at the latest. We confirm by email once it is done.
If you write from a different address we will have to ask for additional verification. That is not bureaucracy: it is what stops a third party from deleting your account.
Option 3: delete only one linked account
If what you want is to disconnect a specific platform — Steam, Discord, Twitch, Kick, Battle.net or YouTube — without losing your GAIO account, go to Settings → Connected accounts and press Unlink. The data tied to that link is deleted immediately, with no grace period.
For Google and YouTube you can also revoke access directly from your Google account , without going through us.
Requests from third-party platforms
If you reached GAIO by linking a platform account and that platform sends us a deletion request on your behalf, we treat it exactly as if you had written yourself: we delete the associated data and confirm the outcome.
If something does not work
Write to soporte@gaio.gg. The data controller is BIND SEO & DEVELOPMENT LLC, and this is the direct route for any personal data matter. If you believe we handled your request poorly, you can complain to your country's data protection authority.
